Summer skin protection
When dead and dry skin from tans or sunburns builds up, it can be hard to apply sunscreen effectively. Some experts suggest that you exfoliate your skin after a day in the sun (and before the next one) with an Epsom salt shower solution. Combine four ounces of Epsom Salt and four ounces of coffee grounds. To that, add one teaspoon of eucalyptus oil and as much a sesame oil as you need to form a paste. Apply to your entire body before turning on the shower, and then rinse.
While Epsom salts are generally safe to use, they do contain magnesium which can be absorbed into the body through the skin. If you have any medical conditions or are pregnant, be sure to ask your doctor before using any new supplement or remedies.
