If your kid just can't wait to lose a wiggly tooth, here are three tips to get the job done easily and safely.
Getting a visit from the tooth fairy is one of the most exciting parts of childhood! But getting there can be a challenge — waiting for baby teeth to loosen up and finally wrestling them free. If your kid just can't wait to lose a wiggly tooth, here are three tips to get the job done easily and safely.
Try giving them a carrot or apple so they bite down on the crunchy food — a classic way to get a loose tooth to come out. They're hungry for that sweet tooth fairy cash, so they'll be motivated to chew on some healthy food. Go slow, though! You don't want to chomp down on the tooth, or swallow it.
Get silly! Encourage your child to wiggle their tongue on and around the loose tooth. This might take a while, so be patient. But it will eventually loosen that baby tooth right up.
If you or your kid does end up pulling out the tooth, be sure to wash your hands before and after. And pad the area with medical guaze afterward.
