statement

Getting products to people and healthcare facilities remains top priority for us -- in fact, we're producing and shipping a record number of disinfecting wipes. For the first half of 2020, we supplied 100 million more disinfecting products than we did in the same period last year — a 50% increase. We're also shipping nearly 1 million packages of Clorox wipes to stores every day. The shortage of wipes has to do with the incredible demand for this product. We’ve seen an increase of over 500% in demand, and while we thought that would decrease to somewhat more normal levels this summer, it stayed consistent when COVID-19 took an unfortunate turn that no one could have anticipated. This has put tremendous pressure on our supply chain. We're doing everything feasible to expand our supply, including running our manufacturing facilities 24/7, (that’s an extra shift every day), adding more than 10 new suppliers since January and simplifying the types of cleaning products we produce to focus on products that disinfect. We're doing all of this to help get as much of our product to stores as possible. In the meantime, people can use a diluted solution of bleach or a Clorox bleach spray as a way to disinfect. There are a lot more of these products available in stores.
