Skinny Mulled Wine

This is the skinny version of a classic Christmas beverage. This wine can be served in bulk and is perfect for parties, so you can just throw the ingredients in a pot and move on to the next task.

3 cups Fresh apple cider
750 mL Dry red wine (with low ABV, less than 11-13%)
Orange zest and juice from 1 orange (additional orange slices for garnish)
1-2 oz Clover honey (to taste)
2 Cinnamon sticks (additional for garnish)
8 Cloves
4 Star anise pods (additional for garnish)

Put all ingredients in a sauce pot.

Simmer over low heat for about 8-10 minutes.

Serve in a glass of choice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, star anise pod, and orange slice
