When you're overwhelmed and you can't quiet your mind, it's so important to find those little moments to reset and reconnect with yourself. So here's a simple detox bath to wash away all the negative energy from the day.
START WITH WARM WATER
Fill your tub with warm water. Before settling in, just place your hand in the water. Focus on the soothing temperature and how it feels on your fingertips, palm, and back of your hand. Also, it doesn't hurt to add some bubbles!
DISSOLVE HOMEMADE SALTS
Pour in some DIY bath salts: 1 tablespoon of lavender oil + 1 cup of sea salt. It's been shown that the scent of lavender may have a positive effect on anxiety. Plus, this combo is a great exfoliant.
DIM THE LIGHTS
But don't stop there. Light some candles too! This all can help signal to your brain that it's time to turn off the outside world and focus on yourself.
