Skinny Mulled Wine

This is the skinny version of a classic Christmas beverage. This wine can be served in bulk and is perfect for parties, so you can just throw the ingredients in a pot and move on to the next task.

3 cups fresh apple cider
750 mL dry red wine (with low ABV, less than 11-13%)
orange zest and juice from 1 orange (additional orange slices for garnish)
1-2 oz clover honey (to taste)
2 cinnamon sticks (additional for garnish)
8 cloves
4 star anise pods (additional for garnish)

1. Put all ingredients in a sauce pot. 


2. Simmer over low heat for about 8-10 minutes. 


3. Serve in a glass of choice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, star anise pod, and orange slice
