1 1/2 cups organic rolled oats
2/3 cup whole-wheat pastry flour
1/3 cup pure cocoa powder
1 cup dried cherries
6 tbsp ghee butter
3 oz dark chocolate chips
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg
Preheat oven to 350°F.

\r\n\r\nIn a large bowl combine flour, oats, baking soda, cocoa powder, salt and cinnamon.

\r\n\r\nMelt butter in a small saucepan or in microwave.

\r\n\r\nAdd brown sugar and mix until semi smooth. Add sugar/butter mix to flour mix;. Using an electric mixer, blend well.

\r\n\r\nAdd cherries, vanilla, and egg; beat to blend ingredients. Add chocolate.

\r\n\r\nScoop about 1 rounded tablespoon of dough at a time on to a baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each scoop.

\r\n\r\nBake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden. Let cool on pan and serve.
