Teams Up With California Dried Plum Board and Gold Medalist Natalie Coughlin for "Total Body Reboot" Series

Month-Long Series Recharges and Energizes Body


Sacramento, Calif. – March 13, has partnered with the California Dried Plum Board (CDPB) and its spokesperson Gold Medalist swimmer Natalie Coughlin to empower Americans to take charge of their lives, specifically when it comes to their health, nutrition and well-being.

During March, to honor National Nutrition Month, will feature the Total Body Reboot series, providing healthy eating tips, recipes, blogs and workout videos, and highlight nutrient-rich foods such as California dried plums.

“We are very excited about this opportunity, and we hope the Total Body Reboot series does its job of motivating people to adapt to a healthier way of living,” said Donn Zea, executive director of the CDPB. “The month-long series provides healthy eating tips, recipes and workout videos and highlights nutrient-rich foods such as California dried plums.” will feature a fitness hub showcasing a five-part Total Body Reboot video workout series. Natalie Coughlin, Gold Medalist and world champion swimmer, stars in two of the videos along with Reboot series trainer Steve Jordan. Each video features a brief cardio workout for all skill levels. To complement the videos, Leslie Bonci, MPH, RD, CSSD, LDN, Director of Sports Nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Steelers’ sports dietitian, will author a five-part blog series where she will weigh in on the best foods to eat for specific workouts, how to get the best out of each workout, and how to stay motivated during the 31-day reboot series. One food she will spotlight is dried plums.

“Science has shown that dried plums play a significant role in terms of promoting good digestive health, heart health and bone health. They provide complex carbohydrates, B vitamins, antioxidants, potassium and fiber and are a great recovery snack after a workout – they are the whole package,” said Bonci.

The Total Body Reboot series will also offer a simple, yet powerful, action plan highlighting tips that focus on smart snacking, fitness, meal choices and getting a better night’s rest. To keep viewers motivated, the series includes a Pinterest board contest where people can pin their top five healthy lifestyle tips for a chance to win a California culinary tour.
