Pasta With No-Cook Tomato Sauce

If you want to eat healthier without sacrificing your favorite comfort foods, trying giving dishes like pasta a healthy revamp. With the help of the "Foodie Physician" Dr. Sonali Ruder, you can make a simple and delicious sauce without any of the preservatives and sugar you don't need. 

2 pints Red and yellow cherry or grape tomatoes ( halved )
3 Garlic cloves (finely chopped)
1/2 cup Basil leaves (chopped)
1/2 cup Parsley (chopped)
1/4 tsp Chili flakes
1/2 tsp Kosher salt
1/4 tsp Black pepper
1/4 cup Olive oil
8 oz Dry spaghetti
1/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheese

Place the tomatoes, garlic, basil, parsley, chili flakes, salt, pepper, and olive oil in a food processor and pulse until blended into a sauce-like consistency.

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water.

Toss the pasta with the sauce. Add some of the reserved pasta water as needed to coat the pasta.

Top with Parmesan cheese.
