Statement from the Canadian Broadcast Company (CBC) on Subway's Chicken

CBC Marketplace reported that DNA test results show very high levels of soy DNA in Subway’s chicken products, in comparison to the other fast food chicken samples that were also tested.

CBC reached out to Subway in early February but Subway chose not to provide answers beyond saying that the results were "false."

The tests administered for CBC were done by independent and credible experts. The tests recently circulated by Subway to the media after the episode of Marketplace aired do not address the DNA makeup of its chicken products. And, worth noting, Subway has yet to provide any explanation for the DNA test results obtained by CBC.

CBC Marketplace states, "we believe our journalism to be sound and there is no evidence that we've seen that would lead us to change our position."
