Being invited to revisit the Pelley case and Jeff's wrongful conviction is painful to this day. It was proven through ballistic evidence that there were two shotguns used in these brutal murders. It was proven through scientific testing of wet washcloths found at the crime scene 16 hours after Jeff is known to have left home that there was some human activity in the Pelley home long after Jeff left for his high school prom. It was proven that Jeff was being allowed to go to the prom and that he rented his tux and his step-mother bought his date's corsage for him that day. This conviction was and remains a gross miscarriage of justice. I hope and pray that the Innocence Project will be able to uncover the truth of Jeff's innocence and he will be set free.
