MUFA Burger

It's important to get MUFAs (healthy monounsaturated fatty acids) into your diet. Guest Jenny has the perfect recipe to enjoy these healthy fats with an alternative burger recipe. Filled with nutritious grains, thinly-sliced cashews and macadamias, and a satisfying avocado mash, this garlic-infused patty is sure to be a crowd-pleaser at your next summer cookout. 

2 cup Garlic-infused quinoa
1 tbsp Thinly-sliced cashews
1 tbsp Thinly-sliced macadamias
1 Avocado (mashed)
1 cup Black beans
1 cup Sliced Maitake mushrooms
1 tbsp Lime juice
1 tbsp Sunflower seeds
1 tsp Sesame seeds
1/2 cup Olive oil
Salt and pepper (to taste)

Mix all ingredients together and form into patties.

Put 1/2 cup olive oil into a deep pan and heat up. Fry the patties for a couple of minutes on each side and serve.
