Tender and flavorful steak meets crunchy vegetables in this one-minute marriage of flavors. This is a perfect dish for a summer afternoon. The cool lettuce wraps make this lunch light and the steak and vegetables make it filling. Wrap it up and munch it down, this Asian-inspired dish is perfect in a pinch.
1 head Boston Bibb lettuce
2 tbsp Brown sugar
1/2 cup Fish sauce
1 tbsp Lime zest
1/3 cup Lime juice
2 Garlic cloves (minced)
1 Jalapeno (sliced)
1/2 cup Cilantro (chopped)
1/2 cup Scallion (chopped)
1/2 Mango (chopped)
1/2 cup Vietnamese mint
1/2 cup Peanuts (crushed)
Squeeze of lime
Combine brown sugar, fish sauce, lime juice, lime zest and garlic to make marinade.
Marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes (you can do this overnight, too).
Grill steak on medium heat for about 5-7 minutes each side or until desired temperature. Remove, and slice into strips.
Place all of your chopped veggies, fruit and nuts into small individual bowls or on a plate for serving.
Rip leaves off of bibb lettuce head and place in another bowl for serving.
Assemble lettuce wraps using desired ingredients.
