A great way to get kids to eat healthier is to incorporate those healthy ingredients into their favorite meals. Instead of macaroni and cheese, make some cauliflower “macaroni” and cheese. Try adding some cut fresh fruit to their breakfast cereal. Instead of the sugary yogurt snacks you buy from the store, make some homemade granola and add it to some yogurt. The granola is also a great place to try out new whole grains and spices. If you’re looking to put some healthy ingredients into dessert, try some spinach and blueberry brownies.

Fresh fruits and vegetables are the best, tastiest and healthiest way to get your children the vitamins, minerals and nutrients they need for their daily growth and development. Starting those foods early also helps set up good eating habits that will keep your child healthy well into adulthood.
