If you've been diagnosed with celiac disease or are looking to try a gluten-free diet, you may find it hard to give up your favorite foods. Thankfully, there are plenty of ways to find a healthy loophole for foods that typically use gluten. Use this list to find creative gluten-free options that will be easy on your stomach and still taste good.
Grits for Oatmeal
While oats are technically gluten-free, a lot of oatmeal is processed in plants with items that contain gluten. If you don’t feel like splurging on the more expensive gluten-free oats, try out grits as a cost-effective breakfast alternative. Grits is corn-based and therefore completely gluten-free–add milk and sprinkle with cinnamon, or go the savory route and put a fried egg on top.
