While the holidays can be an exciting time to see family and friends and have some fun, they can also cause a lot of stress for fear of gaining weight. Use these tips from Dr. Oz’s trusted experts to arm yourself with the hourly tools needed to make sure you get through each party this season without added guilt.

Avoid wearing an outfit that has elastic. When you get ready for the party consider the clothes you’re wearing as a tool to help you avoid overeating. Kirkpatrick suggests trying out pants, a skirt, or a dress that is fitted, or wearing a belt. This strategy may help you control your eating because clothes with less give in them will cause you discomfort from overeating, making you aware and potentially able to stop eating.
