If you tend to bloat up during the day but don’t want to be bloated for an upcoming event, try out some of these tips from a few of The Dr. Oz Show experts. Simply follow this plan up to 24 hours ahead of time to beat your bloat.
Don’t Chew Gum
While you may be in the habit of chewing gum during the day, Dr. Caudle says the time to chew is not the day before or the day of a big event. Many brands of gum contain sweeteners that cause gas and bloating. Plus, the physical act of chewing gum can cause you to swallow air leading to a bloated belly followed by belching and flatulence. If you need to make your breath minty fresh, try sucking on a mint instead.
