Boiled Chicken and Veggies

This dinner dish is both high in protein and low-carb. Celebrity trainer Chris Powell has helped tons of people lose weight and get in shape. One of his secrets is cycling between high-carb and low-carb days, so you can both burn fat and boost your metabolism.

4-6 Chicken breasts
1 Large onion
6 Thickly chopped carrots
1/2 head Cabbage
3 Stalks celery (cut into chunks)
2 tbsp Whole peppercorns
1/2 tsp Sea salt

Place chicken breasts in large pot with onions, cabbage, carrots, celery and peppercorns.

Add water to cover all of the ingredients. Place a lid on the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a gentle boil and cook for about 90 minutes, or until chicken is falling apart.

Remove from stove, drain, and let cool. Shred or chop chicken and sprinkle sea salt for taste.

Makes 6-8 servings.
