Nothing tastes more homey and cozy than a hot bowl of creamy mashed potatoes. Give your favorite comfort food a twist by throwing in avocados for flavor and texture. You can enjoy the buttery goodness of mashed potatoes, without all the calories and fat!
2 Medium avocados
½ cup Nonfat milk
1 tsp Lemon
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Garlic powder
Peel and quarter the potatoes, then wash them thoroughly.
Place them in a large pot of salted water and cover to bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, then peel and pit the avocados.
When cooked through, drain potatoes and transfer them to a large bowl.
Mash the potatoes and avocado while slowly adding milk and lemon juice. Finish with salt and garlic powder to taste.
