Total 10: Surviving the Weekend

Congrats! You’ve made it through the first week of The Total 10 Rapid Weight-Loss Plan. Use this guide to help you stay on track over the weekend.

Happy Hour

At the end of the day, having a drink involves a bit of ritual–it’s the act of holding the wine glass that keeps us addicted. This habit is mindful and soothing and doesn’t have to be taken away on the plan.

Get a big wine glass and fill it with sparkling water. Add lemon juice and top your mocktail off with a fresh strawberry garnish.

Detox Bath

Wind down after a long weekend with something other than food. A detox bath will help you get rid of toxins and is a great cravings killer.

Fill your bathtub with hot water–sweating helps with circulation and lymph drainage to get the toxins out of your body. Then add two cups of Epsom salt and a cup of baking soda. The Epsom salt contains magnesium sulfate, which absorbs through the skin and can help with the detoxification process, while the baking soda refreshes and softens your dry skin. Soak for 30 minutes in your tub and enjoy!

During the Day

Treat yourself to something that will make you feel good, such as a facial at home, a manicure, a pedicure or a haircut.

You could also reevaluate your closet and choose one outfit that you can’t wait to get rid of when you reach your goal and one that you can’t wait to get into when you lose the weight.

At Night

Instead of eating out, go grocery shopping to make a recipe from the Total 10 Rapid Weight-Loss Plan, like this Total 10 Mexican Bowl.

During a Football Game

You don’t have to deprive yourself of the typical Sunday game-watching food. Make a big bowl of turkey chili and buffalo cauliflower wings, and pour yourself a mocktail. All recipes are on the plan and delicious!
