Don’t think there is a relationship between your weight and your finances? Think again:

  • The #1 cause of bankruptcy in America is a medical problem - being overweight increases your likelihood of ending up in the hospital.
  • According to a study by Stanford University, overweight employees make $7000 less per year than their healthier colleagues.
  • If you have extreme debt you are twice as likely to be overweight.

The chronic anxiety of being unable to control your financial destiny inevitably leads to stead to the deterioration of your health. If you are spending money you don’t have, odds are you are gaining weight you don’t want at the same time. You may be able to hide your debt but you can’t hide your health problems.

The only way to turn your life around is to do it with honesty and integrity. Standing in the truth means you need to stop spending money you don't have, stop eating food that isn’t good for you. Give yourself little goals: don't use any of your credit cards for one week. Next week promise yourself that you're going to stay at home and eat.
