New Endometriosis Drug Approved

This new drug could help millions of women.

On Tuesday, July 24, 2018, it was announced that the Food and Drug Administration officially approved a new drug that will help with symptoms of endometriosis. Endometriosis is a fairly common condition where uterine tissue doesn't grow inside the uterus. Millions of women around the world suffer from this and the new drug will be able to help ease their pain. 

Orilissa, the new oral medication manufactured by the company AbbVie, has been proven through research to decrease pain in patients. This medication will become available in local pharmacies in the next month or so but may be quite expensive without insurance
