Dab clothes, carpets or towels that have been stained by blood with a small amount of hydrogen peroxide. Let the liquid sit on the stain for a minute or so before rinsing with cold water. The stain will disappear before your eyes. This works best for lightly colored fabrics, however, as hydrogen peroxide can act as bleaching agent, so you may need to spot test before using.
